About this event

Medical officers, General Practitioners, Nurses and Paramedics working in Emergency Care settings are invited to attend this interactive full day workshop delivered through large group sessions, skills station training and simulation training.

This workshop will focus on cardiac emergency patient scenarios and examine acute management in regional and rural settings.

This workshop is pending RACGP/ACRRM accreditation and Rural Procedural Grants Program eligibility. Participants will receive a statement of attendance for 6.5 hours of CPD.

Learning outcomes:

1. Assess and recognise clinical presentations of STEMI and NSTEMI for a patient presenting with chest pain

2. Assess and appropriately manage, with pharmacological or electrical therapies, a patient who presents with rhythm disturbances

3. Manage a patient with a STEMI as per current best practice guidelines, in simulated team-based scenarios
